Understanding the ecosystem you are entering
Art World Landscape
At this stage, your work is no longer isolated.
It exists within histories, geographies, institutions, markets, and cultural contexts.
This session explores how the contemporary art world functions:
its structures, histories, centers, and emerging territories.
We examine how artistic movements evolved through industrialization, post-war shifts, globalization, and technology—and how these transformations continue to influence contemporary artistic practice today.
This is not art history as theory.
It is learning how to read the ecosystem you are entering.
