Painted in a single thirty-minute sitting, Flesh and Light explores the quiet monumentality of the human presence. 

Rather than describing the body, the painting follows its internal rhythm—its gravity, breath, and silent intensity. Layers of pink, violet, blue, and ochre move across the figure like shifting currents of light, dissolving the boundary between flesh and atmosphere. 

Suspended between fragility and strength, Stéphane appears not as a fixed portrait but as a living presence unfolding in time. The painting becomes less an image of a person than a trace of an encounter: a moment where observation gives way to resonance.
