Marion, The New Opening
Oil on tracing paper, 210cm x 100cm
Saint-Germain-des-Prés studio
Time is not what passes.
It is what takes form.
In these paintings, minutes are not counted — they are entered.
Five, twenty, or thirty do not describe duration, but intensity.
What appears is not proportional to time, but to presence.
A small drawing and a large painting may be born within the same span.
Not because time accelerates, but because it dissolves.
The body arrives, the gesture listens, and matter responds.
Painting, like living, is not something done in time.
It is what time becomes when attention is complete.
What remains on the surface is only the trace of something that already existed.
