A Dialogue Between Presence and Place

Mairie 5eme

Nestled at the foot of the Panthéon, within one of Paris’s most remarkable civic buildings, this exhibition presents a selection of Fangyou Belleli’s time-based figurative paintings and drawings. Created directly from life, often in a matter of minutes, these works invite visitors to slow down, observe, and reconnect with the living presence of the human figure.

“In a world that moves ever faster, art remains one of the last places where time can still breathe.”

Fangyou Belleli

The exhibition brings together paintings and drawings created directly from life, many completed within a matter of minutes. Rather than seeking likeness alone, these works explore presence, movement, breath and the invisible energy that exists between artist and model.

To exhibit in the heart of the Latin Quarter, facing the Panthéon and surrounded by centuries of artistic and intellectual heritage, offers a meaningful dialogue between contemporary creation and one of Paris’s most emblematic settings.

Visitors are warmly invited to discover this intimate presentation and experience how a fleeting moment can become a lasting image.

Opening reception: 16 June 2026
Venue: Mairie du 5e arrondissement, 21 Place du Panthéon, Paris

I look forward to welcoming you.

Fangyou Belleli
