Painted during my brief return from Shenyang in March 2024, after my father’s recovery from lumbar cistern surgery had brought a moment of fragile stability. Between hospital corridors and family tenderness, I touched down in Paris to spend sweet time with my daughters.

In the atelier, Isabelle’s pose became a mirror of this pause — intimate, sensual, and suspended between strength and vulnerability.
